Buying a Graphic Card in Dec.

Im planning to buy a graphic card in December but I want to know if you guys think it's a good idea to buy it?

Is it a good idea getting the 560Ti 2Win or what GPU do you recommend for this Monitor for at least 60FPS+ in Modern warfare 3

Note: Need 2GB of VRAM and at least 60+ FPS for smooth gaming...

if you don't have extra PCI-E slot on your mobo GTX560 Ti 2Win is a good choice if you want GTX560 Ti in SLI performance. if you have extra slot going for normal SLI config will be better and might ve cheaper at that. maybe you want to wait until january. heard that amd will release their next gen gpu by then. even if you don't buy the latest card the older series might drop in price. btw in modern warfare 3 you don't need bleeding edge graphic to get 60FPS. GTX570 alone able to get you 150FPS with everything set on max (with 4x AA) @ 2560 x 1600 res

It's not 1GB per GPU when it's on the same Board... The VRAM ain't ganna be share but will be transferred unlike the compatibility of SLI... SLI just share GPU awhile the 2Win's VRAM on the same board are share as with GPU...
If the 7000 series are coming, are they faster, better, and quicker than the 6000 series? BTW Should I get the 2Win in mid Dec. or wait for better? I'll either get 28nm GPU and/or Nvidia's Kepler GPU...

what i meant was each gpu will hold 1GB of VRAM which is the same as GTX560 Ti in 2 way SLi tandem. for example 6990 was advertised equipped with 4GB GDDR5. physically yes it was but in game the program still see the gpu only have 2GB of VRAM. that's how multigpu work regardless the gpu in separate pcb or under single pcb.

for sure it will be faster. some rumor said the upcoming AMD single flagship (7970) will be as fast as 6990. so far we heard that AMD will release new card in september then move to december and the latest one suggest it will out in january. if i were you i will wait for few months until both company releasing their new line up. but if you really need the performance now just buy one that suits you the best right now

AMD 7xxx cards are coming out in December i think. You can check some of the benchies and see if there any card within your budget that gives you good performance. Otherwise the GTX560 Ti 2win is a good option!

The VRAM in SLI/CF configuration is not doubled it's mirrored between the GPUs, same for the DUAL GPUs in ONE PCB cards, 2 GPUs in CF/SLI mode, each hold 1 GB of VRAM mirrored between each other.

The GTX 560ti 2 win is pretty useless, benches showed that it doesn't have a benefit over 2 560ti's in SLI and 2 GTX 570s performing much better giving a performance close to/better than GTX 590.

The upcoming HD 7k series from AMD (79xx) series will be available in Q1/2 2012, they will push the HD 78xx series in December which will be no much difference than the current HD 69xx series, just a punch of higher frequencies and less power consumption.

HD 79xx series are equipped with XDR2 rambus memory which is twice faster than GDDR5 in transfer rates, they are 28nm prcoess, 1 GHz GPU frequency. A high end single HD 79xx is said to be faster than the Current HD 6990.
