Buying a Legacy Intel 80486 System for Work

Hello! My boss wants me to research a vendor or after-market seller that would sell the complete system (not just the motherboard or processor).

The requirements are:

- Intel 486 processor that clocks at 25 or 33 MHz
- The processor must be either a SX or DX (i.e. no DX2)
- The motherboard must have 5 ISA slots
I should also note that my boss is not comfortable with purchasing off of eBay which is why he wants me to find a credible vendor.
We are moving to a emulated system, but that won't be rolling out until next year and we need a replacement computer until then.

I would really appreciate any help on sites or actual listings. This is my second week on the job and I want to make a good impression.

Have you checked Craigslist in your area? You will likely need to locate a private owner who has such a system in his/her attic or a "vintage" computer reseller if you don't want to go down the eBay path.

There really is little demand for these "antique" rigs.

What OS do you intend to install on this relic?
