So I want to buy this case from starforge it’s a Lian li 011d evo rgb i want to stick to my air cooler Deepcool assassin IV. When asking support about the viability of a bottom intake top exhaust fan set up but still wanting to have the panel light display on the side they said it would work as it’s the same set up as one of their prebuilt having a bottom intake top exhaust set up. Buts it’s not exactly the same as they run an aio on the prebuilt (voyager elite 2) are they right? I feel like they are wrong since the Gpu (4090) is pretty beefy and would restrict the airflow coming from the bottom. So is it possible to just have bottom/top set up or do I need a rear fan and possibly remove the panel light and switch it to fans.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

You could have a fan on the rear of the case(not the motherboard tray) and have the fans on both the top and bottom to be completely saturated with fans. I would however get the case setup with the lighting panel on the motherboard panel + fans on both top and bottom saturtated.

You can add a fan later down the road and then test thermals.

Would you find a vertical mount to be unnecessary or would it help with the airflow from bottom to top?
