I'm buying a new card and was thinking about getting a 980 Ti but I have little to no experience when it comes to building a PC or adding hardware. I heard that the 980 Ti requires an 8 pin connector and I was wondering if this is something I could just buy or will it require me to get different expensive parts for my PC... Sorry, I'm completely terrible with this stuff.

If your PSU isn't the proper wattage or has the necessary connectors, you may need to change it. What games/settings are you playing or want to play, and what are your system specs?

GTX 660
i5 3570K
16 GB RAM

Do you need to know the motherboard?

All the news games such as Fallout 4, Battlefront, Battlefield, Unity(Never got to play that because I couldn't run it), Syndicate and Far Cry 4(Another I couldn't run). How do I find the power supply model or do I just have to look inside the case?

It's a little overboard for the 1080p monitor I have now but sometime in the near future I was looking to either upgrade to a 1440p or 4K monitor, so I'm kind of planning ahead. Not sure if it helps or not but it says CX600 on the side.

What PSU do you recommend for a 980 Ti?

One last question I have is what is the best 980 Ti to get? There are tons of different versions and the reference cards to choose from. Which would be best for my system if I bought a new PSU?

Asus, EVGA and MSI are considered to be some of the best cards. I would look at the specs, see what they are clocked at, what they use for cooling, what output connections they have, but most importantly, I would read a lot of reviews and see what people that own them have to say. Also check to make sure your case has enough room for the longer cards.

I don't know if I would have enough room in my case for a card that big. Is there a smaller version?

my cpu has power supply of 650w (frontech) with i7 processor and 4gb ddr4 ram and zotac gt730 4gb grphix card.

In my machine games like FARCRY 4 and COD: Advance warfare is running smooth.
