Buying a new Laptop, need some help.

After looking for some days I've narrowed my "wish" list to 2 laptops, these ones:

The thing is that to me they both look really similar and I don't know which one to choose. They both have 8GB DDR4 RAMand 256GB SSD which are the main specs I was looking for. The thing that is different between both is that one has an Intel Core i3-6006U (2 GHz, 3 MB cache, 2 cores) and the other one has an AMD A9-9420 (base freq 3 GHz up to 3,6 GHz, 1 MB cache, 2 cores). I don't really know if it would be better to have a higher frequency and if having a lower cache would have a big impact. My plan is to use it to do college stuff such as programming, presentations...

I´d greatly appreciate it if someone could help me decide. Thanks in advance!

Here...this might help you decide. Look at the passmark scores. The intel is significantly faster (multithreaded at least). You can check the single threaded scores on the passmark website as well.

Actually the single thread rating is higher for the AMD...but if it were me, I'd go with the Intel. Multicore apps are becoming pretty common.
