Buying a New MB GPU Memeory Sticks Do I Need To Reinstall My OS?

I really don't want to reinstall my OS plus I do not know how to anyway.

Once my new MB is installed and the other new components I just want to hook up my HD and boot up my desktop and have my Windows 7 OS work.

On a really tight budget so buying

AMD FX 8300 3.3 GHz CPU
ASUS 970 Pro Gaming ATX MB
Zotac GTX 1050Ti GPU
A-Tec 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz RAM stick

Already have a ThermalTech Chaser MK 1 ATX Gaming Case

What was the old mobo?? And yes you should reinstall windows or you will have probs later.

Current MB is very old Intel

How do I re-install OS? I do have a copy of my Windows 7 Pro on a CD my neighbor gave me awhile back, do delete the OS from my HD and pop the CD in?

This is a brand new Mobo different from old, you MUST re-install OS. That's the way it is, there is no magic.

U can't handle the complication of re-install, well I guess ur next available option is to buy a new copy of Windows and install that.

You need the windows dvd or flash drive. Boot from it, get to setup. Delete all partitions reinstall windows

To reinstall windows do I just pop in the windows 7 cd and follow the promps after I delete the partitions?

Yup. BUT after it restarts dont press a key again until it's installed. Otherwise it'll start all over again

Why hasn't the AMD FX series of CPU's come down in price since the Ryzen CPU's are now available? The FX 8300 is still over a $100
