I'm buying a new asus mobo and I was wondering do I need to do the hole bios flash thing when building my new pc or does it come with the latest drivers already

Solution
Yes it all works the same. Your getting a new motherboard, so the disc will come with it. All you really need to start is the LAN driver. That gives you internet. Once you have that you can go right to the manufacturers website and find the specified motherboard's drivers.

But yes, you can always download all the most recent drivers, including lan driver, onto a USB drive. And once your new PC has windows on it, and your all booted up, just plug in the USB drive and proceed with the LAN driver, Chipset Driver (restart pc after chipset driver, other drivers u can just download one after another and restart later).

*You must make the USB drive Bootable though, I like using Rufus to do this, and format it to NTFS.
*I also...

It comes with BIOS. The latest drivers are not on there. You will need to download drivers for everything from website. But BIOS for motherboard comes on it.

By everything I mean
Chipset
Audio
LAN
USB
Sata

*I recommend putting the LAN driver on a usb drive and installing that first (the lan driver will be on your motherboard disc though)
Next install Chipset drivers. Restart PC, then install the rest. **Dont update BIOS it will be set up for you.

*I also reiterate, do not update or download any new BIOS.

With all that said the easier option is probably for you to use the disc that comes with the motherboard. Find the LAN driver, and proceed as I stated above. Hope this helped !!

** www.evga.com > Support > Drivers and BIOS is where you will find your drivers.

Ok I looked it up I know you need the Chipset, Audio, Intel HD, Sata, USB 3.0, and i THINK its Network. To be sure though you can give EVGA a call, they are open 24 hours (i love them for this) and double check. Or you can wait to get your MOBO and the disc will have the network driver. But if you want to put them all on a USB you can call EVGA now if you wanted, and just tell them what your getting and you need to know the required drivers. Hope that helps!
