and suit my budget

my budget is around 80$ and the psu that i mentioned is about 70$

and i'm not from USA to buy online

and if i find another good psu brands like , Corsair , OCZ , thermal take they will be toooooo expensive

well due to the fact that huntkey are exploding in that video, I would seriously suggest that you try to get a better psu...

if it does all ur stuf goes boom and usually nothing lives...

Oh no! I got two 600w Huntkeys powering each of my kids rig with E8400 & HD4770 (plus 1HDD, 2GB Ram, 1 ODD). Got it in October 2009. No problem so far but based on the review, does it mean I can load it up to 80% of its rated power?

Well , if you overclock your cpu and ur gpu to the max clock maybe it will be over 80% usage and as they mentioned in the review

IT WILL EXPLODE

thankfully the 4770 and E8400 arn't power hungry parts like say a 5870 or something

but the SCARY part is that these PSUs degrade over the years (even good ones like corsair) and that eventually you will hit a power wall, where these huntkeys may explode because they don't have the Over Power Protection (over load protection) and they simply run until they explode or burn out.

I would seriously consider replacing them as soon as you can...

Also, the review do mention that some of their other lines of PSU (that is not greenstar obviously) are meh in that they can provide the power they are rated at, and have the OPP mentioned above, but with a large amount of ripple (still within spec, but touching the ceiling), so those won't explode, just kill your parts slowly and slowly.

Yeah, good luck to ya, a psu dying and taking out parts isn't the best way to go... I splurged on a 1000w corsair, and I get in return a great power supply that can last me through multiple builds until it is degraded beyond belief, but if you look at reviews of the HX 1000w, the capacitors inside in the primary and secondary (the more important stuff) are actually SOLID STATE CAPACITORS, and there are no fluids inside that can lead to the issues seen a couple years back, and have other great parts that last.

Here:
http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/484/5

Not to mention that it shares the same design as a 1500w psu, but corsair actually only rated it at 1000w because of the degradation I was talking about earlier, and if you see the review, this thing was maxing out the testing machines they had set up, and their overload test actually got around 1100 w out of it before their equipment gave up and was unable to pull more (a rare case since their stuff is really good lol)

Well, I won't throw away 2 x $60 for nothing... I learned the weakness of the Huntkey thru this thread, that is good. But it only means I can try to avoid hitting it. It's not like I am going to load them until it explodes just like in the review... Its their job to make PSU explodes, not mine... :)

Anyway, based on the review, they are still good up until 80% of capacity. At 600x.8, that is still 480 watts. My kids' rigs wont consume that much and probably won't within the lifetime of their computer parts as they are happy playing at 1440x900 despite my encouragement to upgrade to full HD. It may degrade over time, but which doesn't?

So at this time, I'll keep the Huntkeys but operate them well below the 480watts ceiling... I'll let you guys know if it dies on me anytime soon...

yeah, just keep it in mind when/if they do upgrade and needs moar power, and that the huntkeys are not honest in their ratings. Hope that when they die, it wont take out anything else with it

and 2x 60?!?!?!??!?! at 60 dollars a good antec can be had in the us... idk where u live but that seems awfully expensive, although the op's place seems to be really bad for pricing...

Yes, that's bad price. But just like the OP, I came from a place where cost is much higher and at the time of my purchase, these were the only ones available and I'm desperate to get it. I am not at home right now so I don't know exactly which model they are so I just hope that these Huntkeys are the Titan type and not the greenstar ones.

Thanks anyway for the good info. Without it I might inadvertantly overload these power supplies. But not now... will be using the extremepower calculator to make sure...
