buying a new ssd help

im planning on buying a ssd for the first time and i was wondering which to buy. do i buy the ssd on its own or do i buy the upgrade kit version?

My computer specs are:
CPU: Intel® Core™ I7 920 2.8ghz
Motherboard: Asus P6T Deluxe v2 Motherboard
Graphics: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 FTW
Memory: Corsair 6gb
Power Supply: EVGA Supernova B2 750W Power Supply
Case: NZXT Phantom 410 Mid Tower Case
Operating System: Microsoft Windows professional

I mean don`t get DDR2 or DDR4 if you have a DDR3 mobo.
Also, not all mobos are compatible with all RAM sticks.
Just make sure you do a quick google of the RAM you want to get, and your mobo. This way you can find out if other people tried out this combination.
Get the basic SSD - The upgrade version is for the laptop most likely.
Depending on your budget, I would go for the Samsung 840/850 Evo/Pro, or the Crucial MX100 (this is what I got).

I recommend a minimum of 120GB, but if the budget allows, go for a bigger size SSD.
 
ok thanks! i was also wondering if i could fit corsair vengence 3x4gb ram onto my motherboard? i have made a new thread but im not getting any response and i want to purchase my items now 😀
