I plan to buy a rtx 2060 on release day. using that as a starting point with a new build. currently using a 2500k and a rx 580.

anyways I need to know what a good processor / mobo would be to pair with this card. don't ask about budget cuz I really don't know its whatever I decide it needs to be haha. I just wanna know a good processor that wont bottleneck the GPU and I really only plan to use 1080p at this point. or should I just keep the rx580 and get a new mobo / processor idk. any help is most welcome.

Would I see a good perfoamance increase over the i5 2500k? right now running games I hit about 70% gpu and 100% cpu usage usually. I have my 2500k set to 4.3ghz boost. Just wondering if its worth adding another $40 to get the 2600x im not sure if ill have to be overclocking to get the performance needed?

You would probably not see a huge performance difference over the 2500K. Your graphics card upgrade will be the performance booster not the CPU.
