Hello all, I am new to this group of people but I am looking at buying a computer tonight and wanted to just go over the specs on it and see what the feedback is from the group here. Are there any programs that I can put onto a flash drive and run at the current owners house. Thanks in advance!

I found this on Facebook Marketplace for $350.

This is what is posted on the ad:
"Custom built gaming or editing PC
Love love love this PC and hand built it, just don’t use it like I used to anymore, I have gone to a MacBook for all of my photo work so would like to sell this since it does nothing but sit.
It has a water cooled (240 dial rad) Intel i5 4690K, 16GB RAM, an R9 390 8GB GPU, a 125GB SSD and a 1TB HDD, all inside of the beautiful Corsair AIR 540 Case.
Would like to get 350 obo. Please don’t offer me $100 and think I’ll take it, I’m not trying to give it away just would want someone who would appreciate and use it!
Thank you!"

Spoke with the seller and he is going to sell me the computer and his LG 29" Ultrawide monitor for $425. I feel that this is a good deal seeing as though I COULD part it out if I wanted to but I will be using the computer for school/work.

The LG Ultrawide is model 29UM57-P.

I have that same case (different color). It's nice. The large holes on the bottom though...that really needs a filter screen over it.
Corsair cheaped out and did not include one.

For the OS...my standard recommendation is for you to do a full wipe and reinstall. No matter what the previous owner did or did not do.

first the os is bound to is microsoft account unles it give ful acces to you also the cpu is fom a 2014 series so not make anymore from intel you could use occt to stress tesy psu gpu-z rendering for gpu and prime 95 for all the system you might try to have him lower down a bit for the os if you could not have full acces for it .

Okay, so basically because I will not have the license for the OS you are saying that this might be an issue? He has a few other people who are wanting to look at it but I convinced him to wait for me to see it first. So one thing that I need to check is can I get the license from the seller for the OS it sounds like..

Okay, thank you for the info. I will see if I can get the license from him. I appreciate the feedback. I have put the software that you mentioned on a USB for the stress test tonight. Thanks again!

$425 for the PC and Monitor is a good deal, yeah it's a little older but that is everything you need down the line to update should you opt to.

Load these tools onto a USB and give them a go.

HWMonitor- Temps and Voltages
Intel Extreme Tuning Utility- CPU, GPU testing
CrystalDiskInfo- SSD and HDD testing

Also consider what Power Supply it has, by the looks of the unit I doubt they used a cheap supply.

As far as Windows 10 goes the license is digital and assigned to the hardware so try the following if the seller purchased the digital version.

Have the seller delete the license from his MS account
Create a new account and have it assigned as Admin.
Delete his Account now you should be clear to do a full reinstall, the license should be associated with your account.

So I bought it! I ended up paying $425 for the monitor and PC. The previous owner was super cool and knew his stuff. Ended up buying his Razer Naga wired mouse and Aula mechanical keyboard with keyboard mouse pad for $30 as well. We’re gonna play with it and figure out how to get the license in my name but otherwise everything went great!

Thank you all for the help!
