Hi, my 5 years old dell optiplex gx620 stop working. The repair shop even washed it, whatever that is but the motherboard isn't coming back to alive. in the market they are few companies n their models.
Since i I want to use my Hdmi port for my monitor, I'm sure I wouldn't find any desktop with built in hdmi unless I add Gpu. I understand gpu should be bought new only n not used.
I am attaching few website where these few of the system r sell in my city, more r available in the market.
I can salvage my 2 sata Hdd, Dvdrw rom, ddr2 ram, I can sell my gx620, processors, mobo n desktop with psu as scrap.

Also, I buying 1tb Seagate Hdd, n I plan to use all three Hdd in the new desktop or if needed sell one of the old Hdd. I can opt for ddr3 too based desktop or tower, so I'm not worried abt my old ddr2 ram too.
Firstly, dell optiplex tower supports 302watts n desktop supports 250 watts. I can fit 2 Hdd in desktop with one Dvdrw rom (which I did in my optiplex gx620).
Secondly, which dell optiplex should I considered. Some r ddr2 based n some r ddr3 based but in the same model. The famous models these days are dell optiplex 745, 755, 760, 780. Then we have hp brand and Lenovo brand refurbished desktop n tower. I will update once I go to the market of all second hand refurbished system.
Thirdly, as u will see from these sites most of them r core2duo, few r core2quad, n i3 first n second gen. If I going for core2duo which system, otherwise if core2quad which model then I will ask in the market. Same for i3.
Fourthly, desktop or tower?
Fifthly, which can support Gpu for Hdmi with 1gb n which can be use in Haswell system later on.
Sixthly, can I change my psu as well, so that I can play advance games even in med setting in 1080 or full hd. Playing online n offline like injustice, cod, batman Arkram, n many more. ( not a gamer, but I would like to play now n then).
Seventhly, should support 2-3 Hdd sata support which can run 1Tb Hdd Seagate, 2 x 250gb Sata Hdd each.
If I forgot anything advice me. Need to buy asap. My budget is low that why I'm not going for higher one.
I will get better rate in the market, but these site is for reference only. My budget is max 8000($80).
But do consider I will be using it for 3-5 yrs, that how long it will last before expired.
I got an offer for optiplex745 to exchange my with my optiplex gx 620. I need to pay Rs.2500/- ($25)only, since my exisiting dvdrw rom, ram, Hdd, keyboard n mouse will be used. So I am basically getting tower, mobo, processor, built in psu 305w. but I'm not interested in too old since it will feel I bought another gx620
