Buying an HDD

So I found this HDD and was wondering if it's a good HDD .WD Blue 1TB Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch - WD10EZEX I will pair it with and SSD later but not immediately. Also is should there be any compatibility issues? My current hard drive is second hand. A 500gb so very old but it's paired with new parts. (CAD)

with sata drivers there no issues. make sure the drive is new and has wd warranty. look into drive warranty as with wd selling more then one line of drives some have very short warrantys. if it an oem bare drive.

Those are great HDD's. Very reliable. Just make sure the connections are SATA and you will be fine.
