Buying an used card to replace my GTX 770

So im going to upgrade my GPU aka the GTX 770. Atm im looking at these three choices:

-GTX 690 (Reference) 150€
-GTX 780Ti (Asus) >100€
-R9 390 8GB (MSI) 150€

Which one should i go with and give good reasons why .

First off I would stay away from used components. No matter what, something could always go wrong, and then there is no chance of warranty of RMA.

With that being said, I would most likely go with the GTX 780 TI as it is just a bit better than the R9 390 8GB with the exception of the graphics department, as seen here: http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Radeon-R9-390-vs-GeForce-GTX-780-Ti.

Even then, that is just a guide. You also want to think about what your PSU can handle.

If your going to upgrade from a nice GTX 770, then you should get the current Gen which gives you the best 'performance' for the SAME cost. The pricing of GTX cards get really close to one another generationally speaking, to get people onboard with the newest than make a 'high demand' market of 'older' generation cards.

The 1060 has served me very well coming from a 680m, and really no reason to go HIGHER if your not planning to do triple screens or 4+K displaying (though the 1060 can do 4K).

In terms of performance they would be ranked as follows:

1. GeForce GTX 690
2. Radeon R9 390
3. GeForce GTX 780 Ti

The price, you've quoted, for the Radeon R9 390 makes it a poor choice since its performance is much closer to the GeForce GTX 780 Ti.

I agree. I have a 1060 6GB with triple 1080p@60hz screens. It still works well. When games support the 5760x1080 resolution, it really works good.

Well if ill drop the used card situation aside and decide to go with the 1060 what brand should it be? I would instantly go with the MSI 6GB Gaming X but it costs like a hundred euros more than the 3GB variant. So my choices are all the 3GB variants and the Asus Dual 6GB.

They are probably all quite silent but i wanna know which one is the fastest/best overclocker.

You can check on www.pcpartpicker.com for some excellent deals, but I would recommend the 6GB mainly because the current set of AAA titles are all 4GB or more Video memory demanding games ( I thought i remembered a couples titles state they REQUIRE 4GB to work period) so you would be out of luck with a 3GB card, and have to upgrade AGAIN just to play 'current' games.

I mean they are still pretty much the same. You will not notice a true difference when gaming. You can try to use MSI Afterburner, but honestly any card will be fine. You may notice a 2-3 FPS increase, but nothing spectacular. I have a EVGA 6GB SC, and it is doing it's job, just fine
