Question Buying another stick of RAM

Would the RAM still work to its full potential if I buy and extra 8GB stick as at the moment I only have 1

Possibly. Keeping memory specs the same would help but there is a chance they may not get along.

Check whether your desktop or motherboard supports that much RAM or not.

Go to a website called crucial.com and enter your device manufacturer and model number.

It has the database of all the prebuilt machines and will let you know what kind of hardware upgrades are possible in your system.

RAM stick always work at their full potential, doesn't matter it's one stick or two.
