Buying components online

Is amazon a safe online place to buy components with? I am from the Philippines. What are your experiences with amazon. And what are your most expensive buys from it.

Id like to read all comments but my focus should be on the Philippines since I am from this country

Amazon is a safe place to buy new components from reputable dealers. Ebay is, too, as long as the seller has plenty of past positive reviews.

Amazon themselves, are a reputable retailer (top 10 retailers by volume, worldwide IIRC). Customer service/returns etc via them can actually be easier with them in some instances than dedicated "computer" stores.

Note though, Amazon serves as both retailer and marketplace. Anything sold/shipped by Amazon should be fine. Anything "fulfilled by Amazon" equally, should be fine. Dealing with third-party sellers can be a little more problematic should there be an issue, but Amazon is typically on your side.

I've used Amazon for purchases small & large (any everything in between) for years. Computer parts; GPUs and Storage are the only items I remember, office furniture (desk, chair), TVs etc.

I'm in Canada (formerly the UK); no "pay on delivery" available in either region.

Amazon is a safe, secure site to use (and commit payment to). I'd suggest your limit your purchases (if possible) to either "sold by" or "fulfilled by" Amazon for your initial purchases if you're skeptical.
