[SOLVED] Buying CPUs Off Of Ebay

Has anyone ever bought a CPU off of EBAY? Is it legit? The 3700x is on sale there and would like to buy it off of there if possible. It does say that its new but I have never purchased off of EBAY and I have heard some stories lol. Thanks guys.

If they have pictures of the actual item, it's usually legit.

Just be sensible, if it seems to good to be true then it is. Use PayPal to give you buyer protection.

I wouldn't trust it, all he has are stock images of the box, (I think I even saw the same image on Toms hardware a while back) and none of the actual CPU he's selling. For all you know he went and tried to use it, accidently gave it a static shock and destroyed it, and then boxed it up again to try and recoup his losses.

I have before but as usual make sure they have a very high seller rating and read the reviews of items sold by the eBay seller...

This particular sale appears to be from actual Newegg. As such, it is fine.

Ebay in general, however...you have to be MUCH more careful.
