Buying dead powersupply from craigslist.. good idea?

Hi i want a RM750 by corsair and I can get it very cheap but the guy who bought it came DOA he got it from microcenter and never returned it. Its got the 3 yr warranty, should I buy it and have corsair send a new one to me? Theres no receipt either..

No because microcenter will not take the return and corsair will not repair it without receipt. Unless you can fix it yourself it is not worth it.

why would someone buy a rather expensive rm750, get it doa then never do anything about it?
