Buying from the US

Probably a stupid q but I was thinking of buying a radeon 9700 off ebay from the states and I live in the UK.
Just wondering would there be an compatibility problems? I heard that it needs an extra power supply.

And finally does anybody think its worth it just to save a few quid?

The power supply thing isnt relevant for UK / US issues, as each PC has its own power supply to supply all the correct power to its internal workings. Well, theoretically it does, although some people still get it wrong. Anyway, for your question, it isnt a problem.

However it'd caution you against buying it, in case anything goes wrong with the card - are you getting a warranty? Is it only valid in the US? etc etc - i hope you are getting it really cheap!
