Buying Monitor from Amazon

So I want to buy a monitor on Amazon, and under used the product is like $85 cheaper. Though the descriptions are tripping me up. One description says that the item has 10% damage on the back and the top and is repackaged. Than another says item is in original packaging. Packaging is damaged with 5% here there and there. What I want to know is...
-When it says original packaging does that mean the item was never end removed?
-When it says packaging is damaged does that mean the monitor is not damaged or has never been taken out?
-What is the difference between good, very good, and like new?
-Does Amazon warehouse skimp on details to make you buy it?

Amazon has always been accurate with their descriptions on items - it's actually the sellers who label good, very good, or like new. However just check the ratings of the seller, if they have a 97% positive rating for example you know you have a trustworthy seller.

Keep in mind however Amazon helps themselves generously to your money on any return attempt - for nondefectives, anyway, it can be as high as a 35% restocking fee.
