" is it worth it? "
Well...this is all just opinion.....but I have an NVidia RTX 2080 Ti FE and I love playing at 4K.....so for me it's definitely worth it. You have to decide if it's worth it to you.
Thank you for your opinion jay, i know rtx 2080 ti is much faster than gtx 1080 ti, but before changing it, its good to hear some advice from the expert or maybe they encountered some issues on it .Regards!

Actually I did have an issue.
The first card lasted two weeks and then it green screened.
NVidia was really on the ball with the RMA though.
They overnighted me a new card without me having to send the old one back until later.
The new card has been running almost a year.

  • What is your monitor's resolution?
  • What is your monitor's refresh rate?
  • Does your monitor have FreeSync, GSync, or neither?
    • If FreeSync, what is its FreeSync range?

Do NOT get the 2080Ti. At 1920x1080 @ 75Hz, the 1080Ti was a waste of money, and a 1080-non-Ti would have been overkill as well. Your monitor's FreeSync range is 50-76.

A GTX 1070 would be more than enough. Your monitor cannot display more than 76 frames/second.

See this page for the review of the 1660Ti, specifically the 1920x1080 gaming performance. The 1070 is one of the cards that is compared against, and it averages over 70fps in EVERY game listed (except Ashes of the Singularity, which crushes every video card).

Your existing card is way overkill. Upgrading to a faster one is a complete waste of money.

thanks a lot, but i already have gtx 1080ti right now, so its my mistake to choose a monitor.
what about for lumion program? any idea? Hopefully it is fitted to my monitor.

If you have a gtx 1080 ti now, I definitely WOULDN'T purchase a 2080TI because you're only running 1080p. I would continue to game at that resolution with the 1080 TI. Then in 1-3 years do a grpahics card monitor upgrade to ensure optimal gaming performance.

Yes. I have a 3440 x 1440p ultrawide and I have to cap fps on my 1080ti to96fps to ensure gsync stays enabled. It's not worth the jump for you now because you still have plenty of headroom at that resolution and potential next gen nvidia is right around the corner. If I were you, id sit on what you have now and do a graphics card monitor upgrade in the future.
