buying my first gaming pc

Need a helping hand with first gaming pc. Now my budget Is 500 max that includes operating system. I'm opting for windows 7 home for like £70. The games I'm wanting to play will be star fight 2, warthunder, gta iv sims, sim city red alert etc
. Not into battlefield or cod. I have seem this here

Everything is good EXCEPT for the cpu. It is underpowered. AT LEAST A 6300 is required.

Win 8.1 is only 1 pound more and is supposedly much better. Go for windows 8.1.
Yeah, that will be much better.
