I'm planning to buy a new PC tomorrow.. Here are the parts:

CPU: i5 2500k (planning to OC later)
GPU: 6950 (planning to CF later)
PSU: tx v2 850w
Case: Cooler Master Storm Sniper Black
RAM: corsair vengeance 1600mhz 2x4gig
Mobo: ASRock Z68 Extreme4 or Asus P8Z68-V Pro
cpu cooler: corsair h60

if you see anything wrong or how it could be improved please let me know :)

all you need to cf 6950's is a 750w psu- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817703027 99$ after promo code

here is a case with better cooling than the HAF X (with the fans on high and it is still quieter)- Silverstone Raven RV03: http://www.amazon.com/Silverstone-Extended-90-Degree-Motherboard-RV03B-W/dp/B004X19B02/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1315440432&sr=8-1 140$

MOBO: i suggest an asrock gen3 motherboard. either the z68 extreme3 or extreme4

CPU Cooler: look into the scythe mugen 3 it should give about the same performance as the h60 for less

are you going to get an ssd?
what hdd are you getting?
what resolution will you be playing at?

thanks for the suggestions mate,

I'm not planning to buy an ssd or sata drive just yet. I need to wait for my next paycheck to get those.

Also about the screen I have the same problem. But I'm planning to buy 24inch or larger monitor.. would you suggest anything?

no do not use smart response it is a waste. also raid with an ssd is very difficult. get a single 120gb or 128gb ssd for your os and most used applications. the crucial m4 128gb is 193$ on newegg but it is out of stock (coming back around the 10th of this month)
