I want to build a new computer.. around 700$ if possible. What would be a good processor to start my rig off with? Im a pc gamer. I saw some decent deals on newegg right now.

would this be a good buy? im sure its better than my first gen i7, or should I buy an even better processor... ik processor is most important idc so much about graphics as i do playability .. like i dont want 5fps lag spikes everywhere because my cpu cant keep up anymore
8 core processor for only 220 seems like it would be a good start?
