Hello, I am not a noob but it's ALL ABOUT THE MONEY.

I do have my current system on h110 motherboard with pentium g4560. I have got two ways to go. Either buy a team blue cpu from this gen , like i7 7700k next month when new cpu's will come out , maybe I will be able to get it on discount , but I will not change the motherboard then or either buy a new cpu from intel to my rig with a new motherboard. What do you think , what will be the pricing of the 6 core 6 thread i5? I know that I will need to buy a new motherboard for it. I am not going to spend more than 350$. DO NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT RYZEN! I have got 400w psu and I will not change it even though I do have got gtx 1070 with it now. My pc drains 230w in stress from the wall. Cpu will not change much as I will still have some space with power.

If you have a GTX1070, I surmise that your interest is in gaming.

For that, a I7-7700K would be best. The new 8th gen processors are all about 6 core options.
It is unlikely a game can use more than the 8 threads that a 7700K can provide.

Here is a recent test comparing 7700K(8 threads) to 7800X(12 threads)
net result the 7700K is equal or better.

Now, it is possible that the I5-8600K core will be a great overclocker.
If so, that and an overclockable motherboard may well be a stronger option than a I7-7700K running stock on a H110 motherboard. Price is expected to be about $250, but it seems like a 300 series motherboard will be needed. Probably $200 for that.

Yes my motherboard does support the upgrade. I just needed to update bios before I ran pentium g4560 in order to allow it to run. The same gen.

One last thing , I want to stream so I was thinking about the 6 core i5 because of that. The framerate doesn't makes any difference. I don't care about 5% of performance. What do you think about that? Future proof stuff.

I've got the bequiet silver rated psu. It's one of the best psu's for the money. I know that it will handle the i7 and gtx 1070. This is my psu.: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/YBp323/be-quiet-pure-power-10-400w-80-silver-certified-atx-power-supply-bn272

Sure , no problem I know from my own experience what do people have in their rigs to be ohnest so I totaly appreciate you asking. Going back to the question. Do you think that it's way better to invest in a new gen or go for the old gen? I can get 120$ from my pentium with motherboard and the maximum amount of money I can invest is +/- 250$.

Yes I can. In Poland we do have some discounts and sometimes (like now) you can get i5 7600k for 350$ with gigabyte motherboard. That's why I will wait for the new generation so the old one will be discounted more. Question is , is it worth buying the old gen , if the new gen will cost 100$ more.
