Buying new Dell XPS 8100/9000; best video card option?

Hello, I'm looking to get a new desktop, and I've narrowed the models to Dell's Studio XPS 8100 or the Studio XPS 9000. I've already posted in the CPU component forum, so now I'm here to ask about which video card it my best option

The XPS 9000 has the following options (I've included both card/processor ops):

Processors:
Intel® Core™ i7-920 processor(8MB L3 Cache, 2.66GHz)
Intel® Core™ i7-960 processor(8MB L3 Cache, 3.2GHz)
Intel® Core™ i7-975 processor Extreme Edition(8MB L3 Cache, 3.33GHz)

Cards:
nVidia® GeForce® 310 512M GDDR3
ATI Radeon HD 5450 1GB DDR3
nVidia GeForce GTS 240 1024MB
ATI Radeon™ HD 5770 1GB GDDR5
ATI Radeon HD 5870 1GB GDDR5

and the 8100 has these options:

Intel® Core™ i5-750 processor(8MB Cache, 2.66GHz)
Intel® Core™ i7-860 processor(8MB Cache, 2.80GHz)

Cards:
nVIDIA GeForce G310 512MB DDR3
ATI Radeon HD 5450 1GB DDR3
nVidia GeForce GTS240 1024MB GDDR3
ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024MB GDDR5

I also have a Nvidia geforce 7300 GT in my current desktop, but would that be compatible with the architecture in a Studio XPS?

The 8100 starts at $649, the 9000 at $899. The video card is a factor in addition to the processor/memory. I plan to use Photoshop, ImageReady, Painter, etc. and would prefer if the system were 3d-gaming ready. I'd prefer to keep a budget under $1000, but I welcome any honest opinions about my options I'd appreciate any feedback or comments!

If your looking to get the most for the best price , I imagine it would be this combo.
Please inform how much the configurator says this would be
and the 8100 has these options:
Intel® Core™ i5-750 processor(8MB Cache, 2.66GHz)
ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024MB GDDR5

Hello notty22, thanks for the reply. That combo would be $878. The thing I find annoying with the XPS all-in-ones is that no monitor/speakers is included. My old ones are still okay, so worst case is I keep that one for a while and focus on upgrading the computer first. Appreciate the help!
