Buying new gaming laptop, is this build good?

So i went on http://www.xoticpc.com and had a chat with someone on their site. at the end, this is the computer he suggested me, with a couple of small upgrades added.

Is it a good price for what the laptop is worth? I may be adding a SSD if i think i need to later.
I feel like i'm forgetting something...

I'm not overly familiar with laptop prices but the specification is good.

My personal laptop is very similar just a generation or two older (GT 650M + i7-3610QM) and I have been very happy with the performance. I paid about £800 (around $1350) for it 18 months ago.

Just thought I would point out the laptop has an mSATA slot if you decide to go with an SSD upgrade later.


I wouldn't pay extra for the thermal compound. At best the laptop will run 4-5 degrees cooler and perform 0% faster.
