Buying new motherboard for my build

Hey guys,

Im looking to upgrade my motherboard because I got another free 6950 so i would like to SLI. Right now i have the Asus p8p67 and well its kindof shitty to be honest. So its time to update to something faster and something that supports Crossfire. Now ive been looking at the review for z77 motherboards on here but i dont know enough to make the choice. Whats the bast one you would recommend for my build. Now im not just stuck on those 3, im willing to take suggestions.

My build:
I5 Sandy Bridge 2500k
16gb gskill 1600mhz ram
1 ssd 60gb(boot drive)
1 tb harddrive
2 x XFX 2gb 6950
700w cougar psu
Windows 7 as of now.

The motherboard you have supports Crossfire at x16/x4.

Switching to something like an Asrock Z77 Extreme 4 would give you X8/X8 which would be an improvement.
That would be my choice.

Thanks and yea i was leaning toward the Asrock z77 extreme 4 i just wanted to make sure it would be the best choice. For crossfire would i want something faster? Ive seen like 16x/8x.

Also will my ram be compatible with this? Ive heard ram compatibility with Asrock.

I looked on their website and didnt see my Gskill ram.

what dont you like about the asrock that made ur say gigabyte? Ive read asrock boots faster. Also not maybe reviews on newegg for gigabyte

Just personal preference i prefer Asus and gigabyte.The Z77 Extreme4 can be purchased for as little as $120. Taking a look at the current availability of Intel Z77 motherboards at popular retailers confirms that this motherboard is an absolute bargain and I would say – if you are on a tight budget then give this board some consideration. The only negative I have for this motherboard is that it slips outside of typical ATX specifications. It’s 3cm thinner than a standard ATX motherboard and as a result may lack secure mounting on the far side since this isn’t a common size, which also means you should be very careful when plugging in the 24-pin ATX motherboard power – as the motherboard may flex.
