[SOLVED] Buying new PC. Help deciding 144hz 1080p or 1440p? (Build in post)

I am quite behind in the 1080p vs 1440p vs 4k gaming world. Wondering if i should splurge for a 1440p or even 4k monitor? Is there a huge difference? Right now I mostly thought 144hz was the important one, but i'm seeing a lot of discussion over 1080p vs 1440p. Basically need a somewhat TLDR of the tradeoffs i suppose. Forgot to add, this is a full on video game computer, possibly streaming as well.

Depends what you're playing. I have the 2600 and a 2060S so if I have the games in question I can run a bench for you.

Personally I play at 1440p 75Hz. For a 24-27" monitor 1440p will be fine the step up to 4K isn't worth it and that GPU will scream.

I recently switched from 1080p to 1440p. Everything looks crisper and sharper, thus the name 2k.

I'll never go back to 1080p for gaming. And I'd also suggest a good 27" IPS monitor to enjoy it on.

Your 2060S will run the 1440p monitor, but FPS are going to be game and settings dependent.

Any monitor that's 27" IPS you would recommend that's not worth as much as the computer itself? lol
