Buying older video cards?

So I need to RMA my GIGABYTE 7850 which has never worked properly since I got it. Every time I try to game it lasts for 2 minutes and then BSOD with a screeching noise coming from my speakers. Only time I've ever RMA'd anything was a power supply and that whole process took about 6 weeks. . .

I figure I'll go on eBay or something and buy an older used video card for like $40 so I can actually use my PC for the time being since it's the only computer in the household. Question is which cards should I look for? Thanks for the help. . .

Solution
Your cpu/motherboard will let you use the integrated graphics which is fine for everything except fast action games. Yes, be certain you install the appropriate intel graphics driver.

Not knowing your symptoms I can't help there.
A cheap psu can cause weird problems.
You DID plug in the 6 pin power connector to the card I hope?

This has been a 6 month process and I don't really know what else it could be. I've tried everything someone with average computer knowledge could do. Tried hundreds of driver installs, re-installs, reformatting Windows, upgrading to Windows 8, switching motherboards and RAM, using benchmark tests on max settings, etc. Nothing proved to have a solution. I've got about 5 different threads on here and was never able to get a solution. Most people always said it has to be a driver issue but either I'm not installing the right drivers or that's not it. Plus when you look on the reviews for my card on Newegg you will see that a lot of people have similar problems as me. I'm hopeful that they will just replace my card, I can sell it, and switch to a different brand one since apparently I picked a bunk card.
