Question! So I will be purchasing parts from NCIX/Newegg over the next week or two and came across a couple of my components in the Open Box section on NCIX website. I can save $37 on the motherboard, $21 on the PSU, and $11 on the RAM. It is all the exact same product, it is not used, just open box. Is it worth saving the money to buy? This would allow me to put in the extra $70 or so back into my system for other areas. Have people had success doing this?

Thanks

I would say no since the obvious hidden fact is that the previous owner might've manhandled it and then returned it or perhaps they know that there is something wrong with it(possibly due to an RMA) and they are letting off for cheap. In most cases there is the issue with warranty.

Success rates, tend to be small, especially when you lack the box accessories that originally came with the product(inclusive of the manual). That money you've saved eventually ends up being the money you spend for the parts you saved up on. If worse comes to pass then it'll be double what you spent initially. The best course of action is to keep scouring for good prices for intact products(inclusive of warranty).
