Hi everyone,
I really want Fallout 4 but 60$ is quite expensive, though I happen to have 75$ worth of Amazon gift cards, and want to buy the PC download version of FO4 from them. How exactly does this work? I heard it downloads to one HDD, but what that HDD fails, or needs to be replaced, etc? Can I redownload it? Game releases very soon so if anyone can tell me I would appreciate that.

Solution
Oh LoL, it's pretty simple, you either get the game or you get a code from them, you add it to a steam account and you get it forever, if the hdd fails you simply install it using steam on the next computer.
You will receive a code, for Amazon it is from a vault liked to your account on the website. This will be a steam code so download the steam client and create a account if you don't already have one and you enter the code from there. You can download the game repeatedly for free using that account.

So the code they give you is for steam?

Yes

It depends on what DRM service the game you are buying uses. Since you asked about Fallout 4, it will be a Steam code. If you were buying a game made by EA, like Star Wars Battlefront, it would be an Origin code. If you were buying a game made by Ubisoft, like The Division, it would be a uPlay code.
