Buying Probox 4-bay Enclosure - Need Help Please

Hi everyone,



I need help on buying a product, the problem is i don't know if this product will force me to format everything on my hdd to meet the requirements.

Right now i have 4 hdd (2 western digital 2tb and 2 samsung 2tb) with files, documents and i think its formatted in the usually format that windows recognize.

With the product i want to buy which cost me $187, i want to know can i just straight away install my hdds in the bay and will be ready to use?

Unless you try to build a RAID array, you should be fine. However, it is always a good idea to have a backup of any data that you want to be around tomorrow. That way, if the enclosure did mess up the drives, you just restore your backup.

I have this enclosure in both USB2.0 and 3.0 models. LOVE them. I use them to back up the hard drives in my tower and they work flawlessly. You do NOT have to format them (I do not use RAID). Just slide your drives in with or without data and you are good to go!
