I have the MSI 760GM-P34 (FX) AM3+ AMD 760G + SB710 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

AMD FX 8320 8-cores Vishera 32nm

i am about to buy Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 2400MHz PC3 19200 Desktop RAM, Red to use as of for now cause i am going to buy a new amd CPU and a MSI motherboard in the future will the RAM be oks to use on my current motherboard?

no. ddr3 is phasing out and ddr4 is becoming mainstream. although new amd cpu will technically support ddr3, im guessing compatible motherboards will be scarce and in some cases more expensive (much like it was when skylake came out).

(Don't believe everything I say) AMD can only support DDR3 no higher then that, only intel can use DDR4 or higher depending on the motherboard but what i am wandering is will my motherboard use the DDR3 with that much 2400Mhz? cause knowing it's DDR3 i should be in the right but will the 2400 MHz will it hurt any thing? if not i would so love to buy it and hope and pray i don't blow any thing up until i get a better motherboard cause i am giving all my old parts to my father and make him have my old computer ill have to keep looking on amazon for a mother board until i find the right specs i need

oh i thought you were saying you will upgrade to AMD Zen which is the new architecture from AMD coming out next year (which will use DDR4).

that board will support up to 1866 officially, and may support higher speeds with overclock. you wont hurt anything by using faster ram, but you just might have to lower the speed to get it to work.

yea you'll be able to change ram settings in bios.

and for the record, its about time AMD came out with something good. they are coming out with a new line of CPU and GPU. cant wait to see what the RX 490 has to offer....

Right!!! XD i just bought the MSI AMD RX 480 8GB will be getting it tomorrow so much hype can't wait to see my FPS count
