[SOLVED] Buying RAM

o i bought a HyperX Furry 8GB ram hoping that in the near future i would by another 8GB ram stick for dual channel would it be okay to buy ram and add it to the pc in the future?
(ill buy the same ram brand, type which 8gb, also same clockspeed)

There is still a chance of issues. There is a reason RAM is sold in matched kits which are guaranteed to work together without issue. Will it work, probably but it’s not 100% certain.

Memory, even if same specs, brand etc, materials can change over time. IC chips can vary, manufacturing may differ minutely. Motherboards can be very sensitive to this. That is why memory are binned together as sets to keep difference to a minimal.

Doesn't mean memory bought separately won't work at all. Just letting you know mixing ram isn't 100% guaranteed and make sure you can return it.

I don’t know a % but from experience I’d say the chance of issue when combining the same kits is much lower than 50% but I have had it happen
