Hey i was wondering i have a all in one HP I was wondering if I could buy a tower pc and open my all one and scavenge it for parts

Solution
Most of the time you physically cant remove those components.
Most AIOs dont use full sized RAM sticks. They also never use GPUs that are usable in desktop PCs.

Really depends on the AIO, but chances are good you're looking at an HDD at best, as Gam3r01 stated - although you could potentially reuse your OS, if the AIO is heading for the trash otherwise.

Some AIO's did use desktop CPUs and RAM, but they weren't overly common - typically soldered Pentiums were used, which isn't worth salvaging.

You'd likely be better off selling the AIO complete - with the HDD and OS included, and using that cash towards your build.

AIOs typically use soDIMMs (aka Laptop RAM) and mobile GPUs that are not compatible with desktops.

Ultimately, it's impossible to advise without knowing the specific All In One, and what desktop specifcially you're looking to upgrade with the used parts.
