Buying second hand gpu?

Well this is just me really but I always buy brand new out of the box so if anything happens I can RMA it's arse.

Also only go for used if it is an absolutely trusted seller and if you really that hard on cash, if your able to wait to get a brand new please do.

Regards

Why do you even wanted to upgrade??

A GTX 970 is fine its just games are more CPU required now sadly. There is no point going for the 980 till next year really, the GTX 980 is overkill and completely overpriced at the moment in time.

What is your CPU?

Also if your getting maxed at 60fps then leave your GPU be. I got a MSI GTX 970 2 months ago and I won't be upgrading it for like two years as i'm getting maxed 1080 60fps with no problems.

If you want above 1080p get a GTX 980 over wise stick with the GTX 970.

I7 6700k is my cpu its watercooled on an asus maximus viii hero i upgraded from an a6 5400k and it was not cheap so i expect this cpu to do some serious $@!t

The 970 is not a bad gpu its very strong in core but games like black ops 3 use over 8gb vram and it stutters :/ (in 1440x900<my monitor)

Thats got nothing to do with the vram usage, its because he has the settings up too high and its too much work for the GPU - that will happen if you go crazy with the settings and AA.( Look at the GPU usage, its maxed out)

Just because its filling up 7.7Gb doesnt mean it NEEDs 7.7gb. Many games will just take whats available for caching.

You run these same settings on a 6gb 980 ti, and I bet it will perform a lot better even with less vram.

Gpu usage is never 100% (i guess bcs of vsynch)
So a stronger card with less vram will not do any better :/

What u mean too high?? Bo3 doesnt have much aa settings the most u can set is 2x :/
And well i bought the 970 to max out textures lol :/ if i need to turn that down i might as well have bought the 750 ti damn
About cacheing yes yes my father said the same lol xD
But it does stutter on my card and on a 980 ti too :/
