[SOLVED] Buying two sets of the same Ram, will they work in the same system?

If you picked a properly spec'ed set of RAM and have an Intel system it will more than likely work. By work, I mean probably boot up and may or may not run at it's advertised speeds and latency.
If it's a Ryzen system I would be less sure and in particular would check QVL, etc.

Even if the ram passed QVL, there will be problems as stated above if the part # are not exactly the same. (Example: I have Corsair Vengeance LPX 2X8 GB 3200 ram. On the backside of the packaging there is a small box which reads, "Product may very slightly from those pictured above. Part #48-009085 rev AC." The chips on the ram modules must be matched to the very same lot - or there will be serious problems, which is why USAFRet recommended the 4X set. Best advice that I have seen with regard to your question so far which is why I clicked like.
