Buying used gpu

Hello i need help about buying gpu gtx 980ti
This guy said that he bought it october this year and just putted once in hes pc..So what should i look for to see if the graphics is in the good shake and not somehow ---- up while in pc?

First off remove the profanity before computer tronix comes on here with threats and stuff. There is no way of knowing what you're buying a fully functional card couldn't even scratches and dings, an inoperable one could be flawless on the outside. Take careful look at the gold fingers where it plugs into the PCI slot those are the only thing that can tear up and be seen sometimes
