Buzzing noise in games?

I bought a cable to extend the length of my headphone cables so I don't have to plug it into the monitor. I plugged it into the audio jack on the front of the computer and hear some static/buzzing when in games I tried plugging my headphones directly into the audio jack still buzzing so the cable is not the problem. I tried plugging it in the back but then the sound only works for one ear. Plugging it into the monitor is not something I want to do is there any way to stop the static?

its likely cause by the cable from the audio to the front jack belonging to the case picking up electrical noise. not a lot you can do about it, if thats the problem.
