So i bought an used gtx 1070 today and i have a couple of questions. Number 1: is it normal for a gpu to make a buzzing noise when entering a game i think its called coil whine?
Number 2: i have a small dent on the side of a heatsink can that affect anything?
Number 3: How do i make sure it is not overclocked?

Solution
  1. Pretty normal, yes. Not all cards will exhibit it, but it's not something to be worried about.
  2. Unlikely to have any impact. I'm assuming it's limited to the shroud itself and not impeding a fans ability to spin?
  3. Unless the previous owner flashed a different BIOS to the card, it will run at stock unless you've dictated to do otherwise via software (MSI Afterburner, EVGA Precision etc).

To verify the card, launch GPU-Z and compare the specs of the manufacturer's listing.
