Buzzing noise when playing GTA V

It's unbearable - i don't even know where it's coming from. Oddly enough, when i alt-tab to my desktop, the noise disappears. For refference, here is a video showcasing the sound: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbK9sHUaKyw

It could be the GPU or PSU making a coil whine noise.

Do you have Vsync turned on in GTA? If not, try turning it on and see if the sound changes.

Yeah, i do, but only for the FreeSync to take effect - although turning it off did not solve my issue. I tried setting the fanspeed for my GPU manually up to a 100% and i did't notice any coilwhine. As for the PSU, it didn't seem the source came from that.

In retrospect, it might just be this fan "dampener" cable that i mounted onto my cpu fan the other day - i'll keep you updated.

Okay buddy, I have the same sound coming from my Gtx 970 when in-game but it's quieter. I can hear it when my head gets closer to the PC but I think my brain just started to ignore it over time, I forgot I had it until your thread lol.
