Hello,

I have a custum built PC, and for some strange reason, whenever I'm playing a full screen game the graphics card or something inside the computer makes a weird buzzing noise. I also have frequent random BSOD's as well. I have no clue how to fix this. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Radeon 4890
3.0 ghz amd phenem quad core
4g kingston ddr3 ram
Corsair 700w psu
MSI 790 GX mobo

I think you should try and pinpoint where the buzzing is coming from, it may be from the PSU. Even if it is 700w, something may have gone wrong and it can't handle the load from playing full screen.

Though you also said that you have frequent BSODs even while not playing? So it may be something else.

My x1900xt and 8800gtx had that issue but I solved the heating and buzzing problems by making my own or modding old coolers while using arctic silver5 to stick them on with good results. Only the x1900xt does it continue to some extent ware it is any ware noticeable but is vastly improved from when I got it.

Well I'm pretty sure the video card is what's buzzing. I say this because as SOON as I alt tab out of full screen game (in this case Aion), the buzzing is gone completely. I don't think the vid. card is overheating, its not overclocked or anything. I'm completely stumped at this point...

You don't have to overclock the card to have a overheating vrm.
