I have a GA-990FXA-UD5 motherboard and I keep getting a random sound from the speaker on the motherboard..

Since its random and doesn't last more than a few seconds I haven't been able to catch a recording of the sound..

It sounds like a single beep from an electronic device that has dead or nearly dead batteries ..like a buzzing beep..

Full system specs:

CPU -> AMD FX-8150 @ 3.6Ghz/4.3Ghz Turbo
MB -> GA-990FXA-UD5 (F7N BETA BIOS)
RAM -> 16GB CORSAIR Vengeance DDR3 1866 (8-9-8-24-1T timings)
Graphics -> Crossfire HD6950's
Drives ->
64GB PLEXTOR PX-64M2S SSD
128GB PLEXTOR PX-128M2S SSD
1TB SAMSUNG HD103UJ HDD
1TB Western Digital WD10EARS HDD
Samsung CD/DVD/Blu-Ray ROM/Burner
PSU -> Corsair HX750w modular - 80 PLUS Silver certified

Someone told me it might be a power problem since it happens randomly while playing a game or putting any sort of load on the hardware..

If im reading this result properly http://www.sisoftware.eu/rank2011d/show_run.php?q=c2ffcbfbddbcdde0d5e3d6e4d4f280bd8caacfaa97a781f2cfff I am only using 500Watts total during load..

And all voltages look fine in the Bios diagnostic section..

So in my opinion its not a power problem, I think there is an issue with the motherboard...

I am wondering if anyone knows what that buzzing beep is and/or what it means?

Check the PC Health tab in the BIOS for either a thermal or CPU or other fan rotation warning.

BTW, that SiSoft 500 watt power consumption figure? That is an estimate. There is no way to measure system power consumption with software.

Nope don't see any warnings in the BIOS PC Health section..

Just to add to that ..while gaming the temps on the CPU never go past 105F and motherboard temp never goes past 95F..

Drivers are up to date, just updated them this week.
