My specs are:
Ryzen 5 1600 with stock cooler not oc'd
ASUS Dual RX 580 not oc'd
MSI B350m Mortar
G. Skill Trident 8GB x 2 running at 2667 MHz
Seasonic S12G 650W
I got it assembled a few weeks ago and have been playing the witcher 3 on it. It was running fine at 60 fps but since today, **just as I start the gameplay** a buzzing noise starts coming from the PC. I checked it by ear and it seems to be coming from the PSU area and is the loudest when my ear is near the PSU back panel where the power cord goes in so I THINK it's not ta gpu coil whine but I maybe wrong.
The sound isn't very high but noticeable when not wearing headphone. Also the sound starts and stops **INSTANTLY** with the gameplay. When I press the inventory or map key and the screen changes the sound immediately stops, it also stops immediately as I exit the game and starts immediately when a save file is loaded. There is no sound in the start menu either.
What could be causing this and is it likely it indicates a serious problem? This is my first PC on the "expensive" side, I am both illiterate with computers and extremely worried right now.
EDIT: I tried out Saints Row: The Third on it, a rather different and bit louder sound came out during the loading animations. With the witcher 3 it was monotonous, here it was going up and down in frequency. It disappeared when the game started and when I changed the settings from low to high it came back but now it was like with the witcher 3 but a bit quieter.
