Buzzing when pc is on.

So i have a R9 280 xfx and when i play games i hear a very loud buzzing noise, and even when i use my microphone in games other players can hear the buzzing too from my microphone, please help.

Is there any way we can hear that buzzing ? Are you sure it's from the GPU ? Is it high pitched ? We need your specs as well.

So my pc specs are: CPU- i5 4690k @3.50ghz
RAM- 8bg dual channel ddr3
Motherboard- Gigabyte z97x-gaming 3
GPU- ATI AMD Radeon R9 280 xfx
200gb ocz agility ssd
2tb seagate drive

It is very high pitched and i will get a clip of the buzzing shortly.

I think it's coil whine. You can RMA your card but just so you know, coil whining doesn't affect gaming at all, it's just annoying.. I'll wait for your clip to confirm what I'm saying but a high-pitched noise comming from a GPU is quite often coil whining.

I know it does not affect gaming but its very annoying and the other players can hear it too! When playing competitive games i cannot hear footsteps because of the buzzing sound. Also about the RMA ive had the card for about 2 years and the problem is quite recent not sure if i can RMA it now :/

If it isn't under warranty, well... You can't do anything.. You can maybe try your card with another PSU and see if it improves things but I don't think you can do anything about it...

Well with the new 1000s series that got out I would get a 1070 or a 1080 depending on your budget. The 1070 is an amazing card for it's price and has no real issues at this time. If you really can't afford one of the two, you might go for the 1060 which is also an amazing price/performance GPU.

It depends of where you're buying it. Since the 1080Ti got out, the 1070 and 1080's price have decreased by almost 200$. You can get the Asus one for great looking aura leds, the MSI cards are always good, I also heard that Gigabyte made pretty good cards for the 1000s series so yeah you can look for those 3 already. I don't really know about Zotac or Palit etc.. You could look reivews on internet if you need further information but the model doesn't really change, at least for this series of cards, they're all good.
