Perhaps our HP man in this group (or others) could comment on the B/W
comparison with the newer HP 8450.
I'm looking for the 'ultimate' letter (A4) B/W printer and will stick to the
1290 for colour.
Luminous Landscape site and Photo Techniques (Ctein) praise the HP 7960/7760
also for B/W specifically.
