I would try to take the image a bit further or use macro if you have it. It is hard to tell if that is the edge depth or the space.

Does the over/underscan do anything at all.

HDMI or VGA? If VGA(not generally recommended any more), please try the Auto setting on the screen.

1mm is very small for an underscan issue to be honest.
