Bypass flat screen fuse

So during a storm, my cousin experienced a power outage for a good 2-3 hours. Once the power came back on, everything worked except his flat screen T.V. I helped him look at the problem, and lucky it was only a blown fuse that was the problem. I ordered a fuse kit on ebay with the correct maximum amp that the fuse will take, but it will be a while before I can get the kit.

Is there anyway to bypass the fuse ONLY for a couple of seconds to see if his T.V. still works? The model is lg 42lk520, and the fuse is located right next to the power input.

Solution
Agree with t53186.

Only way to safely do this would be to make the bypass with another fuse of the same rating. If the TV is now drawing too much current, just shorting the fuse could result in unintended consequences, like fire.
any local car or eletrical outlet store should have the fuse in stock. if they only have round glass ones or car blade type..get a round glass one. have local tv store soilder on set of small jumper leads to the fuse of the same size. clip the bypass fuze to the empty fuze slot. try the tv. if the fuze pops stop. if the tv works and comes on turn the tv off till the right fuze comes in.
