First off, I'm not extremely tech savvy. I know things to an extent. I have an HP Steam I bought in 2015 for college (still in school so I kind of need this laptop) I love this thing. It's on the smaller side which I like (parents got the 15" last christmas & that's too big for my taste) ANYWAY, as of about november the c drive was just filling up. I deleted just about everything. Most documents & photos I put on a zip drive. Put my onedrive into "online only" but nothing I did made more space. Hell, even chrome wasn't working, uninstalled that too. In fact it was taking up more space after that. Turned it on today, 0 bytes free of 23.9. I need help. What can I do to make my laptop functional again. Or am I just doomed & need to get a new one.

Solution
Disabling the Page File to regain some free space is a very bad idea. Can cause more problems than it solves. Ill-advised in my view.

And if you delete all the restore points you may wish you hadn't done that at some later date.

Neither suggestion is appropriate in the long run, only real solution is a larger capacity HDD, then use your recovery media or disk image to put your Windows on it.
